Wolf Willow includes all three “pillars” of sustainability:

  1. Environmental
  2. Social
  3. Economic

The materials and mechanical systems have been selected based on green building principles balanced with the economic constraints of our project. We have 2 x 8 wall construction with R40 insulation, triple glazed windows and in-floor radiant heating to name just a few of our features.

Our common facilities are approximately 4400 SF and include a kitchen and dining area large enough for the whole community to share meals and celebrations when we choose (our homes all have full and complete kitchens). There is a lounge, a small office, two multipurpose meeting rooms, two guest rooms, a common laundry (our homes also have space for a washer and dryer), a good sized workshop, an exercise room and a sauna to warm us up on cold winter nights! Several common decks and gardens will provide space for growing herbs, vegetables, fruit trees and ornamental plants as well as opportunities to connect with our friends and neighbours. The building includes secured parking and elevator access.

Our homes are fully self-contained condominiums ranging in size from 788 to 1244 square feet and designed for accessibility and graceful aging in place. We have thoughtfully considered the layouts and finishing materials and have made a number of choices that are not typical in conventional developments.

Members met with the project manager, architect, and construction team each month to monitor the construction progress until completion was achieved.
