Brian and Mary Lou were both born and raised in southern Saskatchewan and were married in 1974. They have three adult children, their partners and two grandchildren (one more on the way at the time of this writing) – all in Saskatoon at the time of this writing – it’s nice to finally have them all here!
Brian and Mary Lou have lived in Regina, Coronach, Saskatoon, Stoughton and now make their home at Wolf Willow Cohousing in Saskatoon. Brian worked for Sask Power for 28 years. In 2002 he was ordained as a United Church minister – he is currently serving St. Thomas Wesley United Church. In 2011 Mary Lou retired from a teaching career that began in 1976.
Living at Wolf Willow and “aging in place” is awesome – all (and more) they hoped it would be. Brian is able to walk to work. Mary Lou enjoys watercolour painting and thrifty treasure hunting with her neighbours (new-found family) at Wolf Willow. There is always lots of good food, conversation and laughter at our common meals.
“Living in community” is what we are meant to do, and Wolf Willow is an amazing community to live in. We can enjoy our privacy in our condo, but always have the community at hand for socializing or for help when we need it. Cohousing is awesome!
